DT Swiss PR 1400 DICUT® OXiC 32 Road Rear Wheel 28"/700C (5x130mm) SHIMANO HG / SRAM XDR™

The PR 1400 DICUT® OXiC 32 rear wheel belongs to the premier class of DT Swiss aluminium road wheels for rim brakes. It stands out for a low weight as well as outstanding braking performance and durability thanks to ceramic OXiC coating!

The stable and lightweight rim has an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. With its stability, it makes a crucial contribution to the durability and reliability of the rear wheel.
In a tubeless set up, the wheel shows even more comfort and grip in addition to its athletic character. The weight-reduced Ratchet SL freewheel system of the high-end 240 Dicut® rear hub ensures direct acceleration and rounds off the first-class design of the aluminium wheel. The PR 1400 DICUT® OXiC 32 thus cleverly meets high demands in training or competition!

Technologies:

• OXiC TECHNOLOGY:
The OXiC process refers to an electrochemical ceramic coating that makes the rim surfaces very hard and resistant. The result is a high-end, matt black finish which has excellent braking properties in all conditions, including wet conditions. What’s more, it also reduces abrasion on the rim to an absolute minimum. Unlike conventional aluminium rims, which wear out due to the abrasion and heat generated by brake pads and environmental particles, the OXiC surface is so hard that it is virtually unaffected by these influences over a normal wheel life. DT Swiss wheels OXiC rim flanges must be used with specific brake pads.

• RATCHET SL:
With the Ratchet SL freewheel system from DT Swiss, the designation "SL" (Super Light) means that the ratchets are lighter than those of the classic DT Ratchet System, thanks to additional machining. Depending on the equipment, the ratchets of the Ratchet System hubs have an engagement angle between 6.7° and 20°. The system stands out for high reliability thanks to the simultaneous meshing of the teeth, which leads to significantly lower point loads. The no-tool concept allows easy maintenance and tool-free conversion to common axle and freehub body standards.

• TUBELESS:
All DT Swiss wheels are tubeless ready. The profiles of the DT Swiss rims are specially designed for tubeless use. The rim profile makes it easier to fit the right tyre and ensures a perfect fit. The tubeless system of the rim consists of DT Swiss tubeless ready tape for sealing and a DT Swiss tubeless valve in a length that complies with the rim. When using tubeless ready tyres, a compatible sealant must be used. However, it is also possible to use a conventional combination of tyre and inner tube.

• BEARINGS:
Having learned from years of experience, DT Swiss only uses durable cartridge bearings without bearing play adjustment. DT Swiss hubs are designed to have the optimum axial and radial bearing play when they are properly installed. The correct preload of the bearings to compensate for the clamping force of the wheel mounting system is the basis for a play-free hub with minimum friction.
